The Bettini Deruta Smooth Corner Terracotta Planter is entirely handcrafted in our workshop in Deruta, where traditional techniques are still used today to create authentic local artisan pottery. Its corner shape allows you to make the most of walls, entrances, terraces and hard‑to‑decorate spaces, offering a simple, elegant and functional solution.
Hand‑worked craftsmanship and smooth finish
Each planter is hand‑worked and hand‑finished, preserving the purity of the smooth surface and highlighting the quality of true artisanal terracotta. Slight variations in color and finish are a natural result of the handmade process and make every piece unique.
Natural, breathable terracotta
Made from natural light terracotta, a porous and breathable material, it promotes proper soil aeration and maintains balanced moisture levels, ideal for healthy plant growth.
Frost‑resistant and suitable for outdoor use
Thanks to the traditional high‑temperature firing and uniform thickness, the planter is resistant to frost, sunlight and temperature changes, making it suitable for outdoor use throughout the year.
Functional design with drainage hole
The base includes a drainage hole that ensures proper water flow, preventing stagnation and protecting plant roots.
Usage tips
- For flowering plants: ideal for geraniums, daisies, lavender and seasonal blooms.
- For green plants: perfect for ivy, pothos and trailing varieties that soften corners and walls.
- For difficult corners: the 90° shape is excellent for decorating unused spaces such as wall corners, entrances and columns.
- For scenic compositions: two mirrored corner planters can frame doors, gates or outdoor stairways.
- Use with feet: recommended to place the planter on terracotta feet to improve drainage and protect the base from frost.
